It is with a heavy heart I pass this on to you. Jill & Sonny, owners of this property that has been the White and Black Buffaloes' home since their birth, have decided to sell. The financial burden of maintaining this place has become more than they can, or will, continue to bear. It is just too much for them. An agreement has been reached between them and a local businessman, and will be finalized by late September of 2009.
The White and the Black Buffalo will also be sold. An offer has come from an Ohio businessman who has a drive-through zoo, and another offer from a traveling entertainment facility that breaks buffalo and trains them to be ridden. Neither of these offers include the Native perspective and keeping these two sacred. The individual who has an agreement to buy is not interested in continuing what Buffalo Messengers is doing.
The offer for this entire property is not written in stone. If Creator wants this to remain, those that need to will step in and purchase this facility, keeping it as a spiritual center and keeping these two here. This is now out of my hands.
The owners here are willing to entertain an offer from us, the Native People, to maintain this place as a spiritual center, and ensure the black and the white remain here. However, that is going to have to be someone or something with very deep pockets. Buffalo Messengers can be converted to a 501C3 non profit, thereby acquiring grants to maintain this place. But we have only 2 1/2 months to purchase this facility. Once it is purchased, we can begin the process of becoming non profit.
If we lose this place, I pray someone within the Nations will at least give these two buffalo a home with our People and they will be kept sacred. However, this too is out of my hands.
I am listening, my relatives. Any and all suggestions are welcome. We are about to lose the most powerful spiritual event to happen for our People, all our relatives, in thousands of years. This is now up to all of us.

Prayers have been sent, and answers received. The answer given - it is now up to each of us. They were sent to bring us together. Now, we stand to lose them. And Spirit will not step in to stop it. They have been given to us, all of us. And it is up to us, all of us, what happens to them. If we lose them, it will be our fault. If we come together as one, Spirit will assist us. If you doubt this message, know this. The female redtail hawk that turned white with the birth of the white buffalo came to me this morning as I was bringing the spirit food to the ancestors.
